i plan to be cremated when i die. certainly don't have a problem with barbaro being cremated.
i'd imagine they did it for just this reason-not sure yet where he would be buried. not like you can wait very long without having done so. also, maybe they are considering having him buried at a track--and there are VERY FEW intact horses buried at tracks.
