As Danzig said, fillies run against males all the time everywhere else in the world except here. It's really not as big a deal as people make it to be.

Also, this year's 3yo's don't seem to be that good of a group to me. I can't think of a single one that would scare me off if I had a good colt or filly at this point. The only ones that would cause me any concern are Nobiz and maybe Any Given Saturday. As we all know, so much can happen and change between now and Derby day so I'd at least point her to the race. Take a route with races facing males earlier. If she fails, she could always fall back to female races in time for the Oaks.
depends on how she runs. genuine risk ran third in the wood behind plugged nickel. that showed she belonged. the rest is history.
what the heck, half (or more) of the colts who run each year don't belong, certainly the top two year old filly would have more of a compelling argument for belonging than some of the others!
