In the 11th too the favorite gets scratched early and a 10-1 morning line horse still goes off at 31-1. All and all if was a tough but entertaining afternoon.

The mistake I made was playing it for a dollar. The Ohio Derby is the only venue yet that I have encountered that lets a player play a SH5 in 20 cent increments. If I had included Brereton's Baytown in the 5th slot for a dollar it would have exceeded our limit. Considered a smaller wager at one point, but thought the betting pools might be so small that a smaller wager wouldn't pay much. I think the whole pool was around 9 or 10,000 dollars last time I glanced at it.
