and before anyone leaps on me and says how dare i jump on a guy who's a dem, when i claim to be an independant--i voted for steny hoyer, more than once, as a md resident. it was his decision.
we voted these dems in (yes, i AM part of that we) to make changes they promised. one of which was to do more than the 'do nothing' congress we had had-who barely met....way to start out right.

totally OT but that reminds me of the first KY Farm Managers Club dinner I went to when i moved there...the ended early so everyone would have a chance to get home in time to watch the basketball game...I was not happy
