All in all the race was well worth watching.

It was an awesome race. Latruska was headed by MM maybe a furlong from the wire and dug in and came back for the win. Should end up one of the best races of the year.
Frankly, it was kind of a risky wager (like it's my real $$) but I had to do it for our very good friend Eduardo Tarrazas who Patty and I met on the trip to Kentucky back around 2000. At that time he was a stallion manager for Taylor Made Farms. In talking, we found we had much in common and he gave us a VIP tour of Taylor Made. He left Taylor Made and has developed his own very successful business the past several years (see link below) and it couldn't happen to a nicer guy in the equine business. He is very special.
Latruska was one of his horses and he had been building her all week on FB prior to the race, so what else could I do but land on the fairly strong mild long shot that is attached to Eduardo. Patty and I need to get back and visit his farm. I'm sure he'll welcome us with open arms and we'll get a very big thoroughbred fix out of it.
So I'm thinking I have the ROI contest win in the bag and look at Plenilune's wagers seeing that she pulled a Ruffian-Roamin zinger on me for a huge payoff. Thanks a lot Plen.
Very happy

for Eduardo who is still walking on could nine I'm sure and for the all the Latruska team.
