The 2018 Derby is official and Justify proved to be the best on the first Saturday in May. After being
shut out in our practice run last week we had a winner in our Derby ROI. 5 winning wagers were
made but only two players came away with any points. Indian Hemp had the Derby Tri but it wasn't
enough to place him in the top 4. Joly B hit the Oaks / Derby Daily Double and all I can say is "ouch".
JB fell 80 cents short of a profit Real Quiet takes the place slot with a Justify / Good
Magic exacta which paid a nice $69 for each deuce. Thought I had it won but it was only a matter
of time before one of our players got hot and on the first Saturday in May Cruzan returned to
the form that made him the 2017 ROI champion. Cruzan has been coming close lately and
Saturday everything fell into place. Cruzan picked not one but two double digit winners with
Proctor's Ledge in the 7th and Maraud in the 9th worth a total of $860. Congrats on your stellar
