Today, our beloved, great, wonderful and confident President again reassured our troops that he appreciated their efforts for "defending our country".
Last I heard, Iraq wasn't the United States of America.
He thanked them for their "vital work" in achieving "victory" in Iraq.
Seems that others have told him that "victory" as he defines it no longer is an option. Disregarding the Baker/Hamilton Iraq Study Group's recommendations, the voices of the Joint Chiefs, and the decision rendered by the voters within his own country in the November elections will not bring him closer to achieving the "victory" that he quests.
Sure, he visited some wounded soldiers yeserday at Walter Reed on his way to his Christmas "vacation" at Camp David. He even gave out lots of purple hearts. I'm sure he felt like Santa giving so generously.
Here is what he said:

Yes, it's Fox News. I couldn't find it at "Common Dreams". Darn.

This morning I was making a sausage to go along with the omlet I was hankering for. Funny how the pattie turned out looking a lot like the "miracle pancakes" and the "Moses Riding Secretariat" paper towel. I'm still taking offers. Though most folks have no desire to know what goes into making sausage, this one turned out looking like the profile of George W. The real one...George Washington...the one on the purple heart.
Being as it's another omen, and too precious to ingest, it went into the freezer along with the pancakes and the paper towel. Ebay next.
So, today's match is our beloved president and the soldiers that he visited, and those that will find him "victory".

pass the purple hearts along with all the arms and legs that resemble sausages.
DTS: the real tragedy of this post is that you could find fault with his address to the Nation and troops, and his wish for everyone to pitch in and show love and support for our service people through the 150+ organizations mentioned. I could go on..but it's Christmas. Just cool your jets til 12/26 and then you can build a head of steam for the New Year!
