Default FRI - Pimlico (Black Eyed Susan Day)

Pimlico Black Eyed Susan Day POST SCRATCHES

R7 – G3 Pimlico Special

#3 Savoy Stomp (15-1) – This is not the most stellar edition of this event and with a step up he could surprise. 4TH
#7 Noble Bird (3-1) – Doesn’t seem he’s as good as last year, but could contend with this group. WON $3.60
#6 Hesinfront (15-1) – Beat a nice field in most recent and should be within striking distance turning for home.

R8 – Jim McKay Turf Sprint 100k (Turf 5F)

#7 Rocket Heat (5-2) – Exits career race at Churchill and even with the expected slight bounce should still take this event. 3RD
#5 Night Officer (3-1) – He seems like the one ready to pounce if top choice doesn’t bring his A game. 4TH
#2 Ben’s Cat (9-5) – Old guy is a legend in the Mid Atlantic and even has a raced named after him. Maybe has lost a step, but still must be respected. WON $7.00
#8 Spring to the Sky (8-1) – Solid turf sprinter will likely have to catch a flyer from the break to find himself in the winner’s circle. 2ND

R9 – G3 Allaire Dupont Distaff

#5 Ahh Chocolate (5-1) – She brings some back class and draws perfectly for her style. WON $9.00
#7 America (15-1) – She’s better than her last and she’s too big of a price not to include.
#1 Theogony (6-1) – Exits G1 and could be ready to peak 3rd race of current cycle. 2ND

R10 – Hilltop 100k (Turf 8.5F)

#5 Miss Katie Mae (Ire) (5-1) – Stong U.S. despite being caught wide turning for home and a slight improvement makes her tough in here. 4TH
#9 Channel Regatta (12-1) – Local hope has improved with every start and has shown the talent to be taken serious.
#14 Wessex (8-1) – Auspicious debut at Gulfstream and well connected. Tough post, but Mott feels confident. 3RD
#4 Spinamiss (Ire) (9-2) – Drops in from graded company and gets a good draw for her stalking trip.
#11 Gone Away (10-1) – She definitely belongs on the multi tickets on a firm course. WON $29.80

R11 – G2 Black Eyed Susan

#5 Go Maggie Go (5-2) – Didn’t have the best of trips in the Oaks and still managed to run a respectable race. Huge upside. WON $5.60
#3 Land Over Sea (2-1) – Huge effort coming 2nd in the Oaks and the only concern is the quick turnaround.
#14 Mom’s On Strike (15-1) – Yes, she’s just a maiden winner. Earned a nice fig and showed the ability that she could light up the toteboard here.
#2 Dothraki Queen (15-1) – Expect her to put in a late run for a minor slice. 4TH
