Since the new site went live Ive had freezes on a daily basis requiring me to close the browser and restart. These occur using Windows Edge browser and Chrome. There were times when Id have to kill the browser task because I couldnt close the browser. I cant imagine the expierence some are having since I have 32GB of memory. As Benny pointed they were updating the site as late as yesterday morning. As far as a "readiness check" goes prior to the derby. Who does that during a peak processing day when live bullets are flying. Readiness to handle more than anticipated volumes should have been established long before Derby day. The human error here is not rolling back to the old system prior to derby day.
