it's possible. it's one of my biggest pet peeves with espn, and other news orgs. they run with any and everything, so they can say they had it first. they worry about right or wrong later.
it wouldn't surprise me if he said succeed or you're gone, or if he didn't. i'm pretty sure everyone knows the price if you don't get to playoffs-and for some, even if you get there, you might still get shown the door.
