just saw this:

how ironic, since it's the Cleburne county clerk. Cleburne county is named for Patrick Cleburne, an irish immigrant who lived in Helena, AR. he signed up to fight for the south. he was killed late in the war, battle of franklin i believe . I went to Helena a few months back, first time I'd ever been there. pre-war, it was the largest city in Arkansas. not any more, it never really recovered. went up into the confederate cemetery, where Cleburne and others are buried. fixed a couple of the poor soldiers tomb stones that had fallen over.
every time I go to a battlefield, or a cemetery, I think..what a damn waste.
