Top 30 plus ties get cards.
Right now, there are 29 guys at 9 under or better. Then there is a 11 man tie for 30th!!! Right now, 9 of those guys are sweating badly and vomiting. Two of the 11 are still on the course on the last hole. And if one of them finishes at 9 under, the other ten go home emptyhanded.
I know golfers don't root against other golfers as a rule, but if I was one of the 9 guys who was done, I'd get the gang together and stand at the 18th green and yell "NOONAN!! MISS IT!! NOONAN!!! AWWWWW!!"
