Silverbulletday Stakes

Post Runner Jockey Weight Odds
1 Dawn After Dawn Joseph Talamo 116 10-1
2 Appealing Zophie John Velazquez 122 3-1
3 Total Jesse Campbell 122 4-1
4 Gal Wonder Gerard Melancon 122 15-1
5 Not in My House Larry Melancon 116 12-1
6 Get Ready Bertie Robby Albarado 122 9-5
7 Meadowlanding Brian Hernandez Jr. 116 12-1
8 High Heels Joe Johnson 116 8-1
9 Grace Happens Corey Lanerie 116 15-1

Both filly stakes races drew a competitive field, although both are lacking the top three ladies in my opinion in Dreaming of Anna (runs next week), Octave (might draw her even w/ the Phipps filly) and Down (who is off the Oaks trail for chip removal).

Anyone start looking at this race yet? I hadn't seen Total's race, but it was labeled as 'promising' in the TT's TODAY.

Total's last race was very impressive, she just layed off the pace when
Jesse Campbell asked for run she haid a quick turn of foot and drew off
to win very easliy. Being out of a Cox's Ridge mare she shouldn't have a
problem stretching out. She had a nice bullet 5F workout about 2 weeks
ago in 59 and change and a nice easy half mile in 49.8 a wek ago. Looks like
she has a bright future.

Should be a great day of racing at Fair Grounds with 5 nice stakes races
hopefully weather will be nice

I'm a fan of High Heels in here. Loved her in her debut this past fall, she ran a huge third at monster odds.....hoped to see her progress from there, and it looks like she has.

Lots and lots of speed signed on here..(I used that term loosely, as this years crop of 3-yo fillies haven't really set the world on fire).
but because of that, I really like Get Ready Bertie in this spot. A little surprised to see her as the M/L favorite over Appealing Zophie, but I think she fits well.
