Where's English Channel?

So, he passed on the Canadian because the connections said he could use an extra week, but the entries came out for the race at Fair Grounds they claimed he was running in....

Maybe Gulfstream can hustle up a fake race for him.

Interesting that they put Storm Treasure here...

Is this his 2nd start on the turf?

He is a better turf horse then dirt horse anyways.......I think he has had more then a few, matter of fact, I am guessing but I swear all his races after the Derby are on the lawn

Thanks guys... I wasn't sure. I had him boxed in my tri box for the derby. I remember he worked really well that whole week and looked better than Private Vow, so I took a shot.

Storm Treasure also ran on the turf at Saratoga ( in a race won by NY Bred Gimme Credit ).

Scavs is right that he has been on the turf since late Spring.

I know for sure Arlington becuase everyone and their mother in this area that I chill at had him, ran 2nd I think at a pretty decent price.....it was either a 2nd or a BS 3rd at like 10/1 and everyone that I respect at Arlington was all over him, can't remember

I just hope they don't try to bring him back from a layoff, at 11 furlongs, in a Grade 1, against that no-doubt awful field in the GP Breeders Cup....three weeks from Saturday

as that would spell the end of my TVG fantasy dominance.

I was thinking the same thing. I took Einstein and Dreadnaught for that race. Pretty pathetic. It would make a lot morse sense though than shipping to Dubai to get his butt kicked.

point given 02-06-2007 10:22 AM

if Einstein goes dirt

The only thing I can figure is that they had 2nd thoughts after Helen Pitts was quoted as saying Einstein would go in a dirt stakes race next out ,instead ot the GPH on turf. I had fully expected that Einstein would defend his title in the GPH on turf, and then Pitts said that. I have since read that she is undecided now between the dirt race and the turf race though. Go figure.
