Rescue Party

Was talking with my friend last night about this horse and he loved him today, hope he used him every which way.

Shug has one there, horse was green as can be and still won, and it looked pretty easy for him. Probably helped a little that they went 46.2 up front.

I went out to bet him also Scav. Loved his first race on the replays. Knew the favorite {Mercantile} was a waste of that big purchase price. I was very leery about the post but i was going to take the 7/2 with a few minutes to post. Im standing in line, look up then he's 2-1. Couldnt take it. This colt might be ok. Shug will take it slow i imagine..

He missed the break, ducked in, was rank throughout the entire run until he was outside other horses. Basically this horse did everything he possibly could to lose, however he still won with something left. He would have ran away had they gone another 16th. I was very very impressed with the run he put in today, he is my Derby horse.

Your right about the trip Bid. The upside to this colt is tremendous. Good luck to Shug with this guy..

Loved his race. When they put themselves in that many bad spots and still win you know they are special. Longer he goes better hell be.

He did duck in at the break but he also got a reasonable set up in front of him. The second finisher actually battled it out pretty hard early and dug in well to be second. The race went 2/5 faster than the first division and the first two finishers got away from the others in the lane. I like Search Party, and always seem to find myself rooting for Shug, and look forward to him getting past his seeming gate problems.

I would say he still has a ways to go but he also looks very much to be moving in the right direction.

Don't abandon the Teuf! You're the driver of his bandwagon! :p

Love the paper on Rescue Party, I think he will continue to improve

Phil

There is only one horse that I would bet under any circumstance. As much as I like Teuflesberg, its not him. Would love to see Teuflesberg get a break and come back later in the season. Hes obviously not a horse thats going to factor on the "Derby Trail", makes sense to give him time. He really has a lot of potential.

Rescue Party was impressive yesterday at GP. I loved his long strides coming down the lane. He's a big colt that should relish going around two turns. Definitely one to keep an eye on.

Gulfstream is the best in my book for the simple fact that one can imagine a MSW winner wearing the roses.
