Saratoga Post time

Any chance they will ever do the 3:05pm post time on Fridays like Belmont does? I think its great to throw in one day a week with a later starting time and Friday is the best day to do this. With all the other days being 1pm, how could it hurt to follow Belmont's lead with this? Its good to keep things moving and changing.

Tim I doubt that they will ever tinker with the post of saratoga on a Friday, people like to go out to dinner or on the town on friday nights and it also leaves little cleanup time for the grounds crew workers to get the place spiffy for Saturday. WOn't work Tim. Cleaning up Belmont after less than 8 thousand folks show up is one thing. But cleaning up saratoga on a Friday night in the dark isnt gonna work. Days are shorter in August. I wish they would start later though.

I agree with this, would be nice if they started a little later, but from an operations stand put, it just wouldnt work out.

It is my understanding that it is more an issue with local businesses and specifically restaurants as they are dead set against people getting out of the track a couple of hours later.

Makes sense. Its hard enough getting a table at any nice restaurant in town now as it is getting out at 5:45. Make it 2 hours later and the restaurants wouldnt be able to accomodate everybody and they would have to stay open later.

Nice thought though. I like the Belmont Friday 3:05 thing.

What do you know! On Friday Sep 1st, Gander gets what he wants.
Now I wont have to make up an imaginary dental or doctor appt to make the first. LOL.
