GS-Stakes schedule...what is the logic
 

Sorry if this has been discussed, I was nosing around because I was wondering when the Aventura was being run because I know it's usually in January only to find out it has been moved to Florida Derby day and cut back from a mile to 7 furlongs. That made me wonder where the Swale(GII) was moved to and now it's Holy Bull day down there and has been cut from 7f to 6.5f.

I guess I just was wondering why on you biggest day would you replace a GII race with a unrated stakes race and the distance changes. Seems like a lot of shuffling why not just move the Aventura to Holy Bull day.
