New York City Stink????

When it hit many people in their noses on Monday, I watched for the story.
Sure, I had my theories....like 3,000 terrorists having a breakfast of chile and refried beans at that joint in Hoboken before getting on the PATH to the island. Seemed likely they were going to take us on with a big group fart.
Many people complained. Too many 911 calls to count. Much concern all around. Could they? Did they? The minor breaking of wind near Bleeker couldn't be the cause, right? So, it must have been the bad guys, too many beans for breakfast.
Then it started coming out...the source of the stink. Since it couldn't be blamed on the Democrats, who do you think got accused for the nasal offense?
Of course...New Jersey is to blame. Yup, those nice folks right across the big river. The stink came from their side, oh my!
Well, until I hear otherwise, all of those NJ folks should lay off the beans and chile. They'll never cut you nice people a break and always suspect you for cutting a big one.
WHEW!!
New Yawkers...get over it! The wind blew it away, right?
Ya stinkers.

This has to do with swamp gas, something you can't blame Jersey for. Swamps are swamps. But I will spray some air freshener out my window when I have a chance for my nyc crew.

LOL! Randall.
I grew up in those swamps...the meadow lands. Never smelled a thing.
When you're driving down the turnpike, spray some air freshener out your driver side window. For me, I'm lighting a candle or two.
NYC folks have sensitive nostrils, doncha know.

We're just so attuned to diesel exhaust, restaurant refuse and human urine that a whiff of wilderness freaks the sh*t out of us.

GR,
My other theory had to do with aliens, the ones that dropped that thing through the roof of the NJ house.
Anyway, good that things are back to normal and everyone is back to "calm".
Wilderness wiffs rule!

you can blame most of new england for it since we used truck all of our industrial waste down there for dumping.

In that case, I will blame you. Just you.

actually you could blame the guy I work for...one of his first contracts (that he inherited from the previous owner of the business he bought) when he went out on his own was to truck 'waste' from the IBM plant here in Essex to Jersey for 'disposal'...but he's actually sort-of one of the good guys...when He figured out what the actual contract was for he discontinued it...this was all in the 50's and early 60's though...long after the dumping began and long before the dumping ceased (if it even has)....but to make it easier, Blame me;)
