Preachinatthebar

I was a little surprised to see him still running as a 6yo (3rd in the G3 San Pasqual). Was he gelded at some point in his career and I just missed it?
Personally I am glad that he is still running, because the sport needs all the decent G2/G3 caliber older routers that it can get right now. As a fan of the sport I am certainly not complaining, but why would the connections campaign him as a 6yo?
He is already a multiple graded stakes winner, and in my opinion he does not seem likely to enhance whatever value he may have as a stallion at this point in his career.
Just wondering.

His race record isn't particularly exciting, just a G2 winner. I don't know of any sons of Silver Charm that have had any success at stud so no one is interested in his pedigree. I think his chance of making it as a stud range from slim to none so they might as well take down as much money on the track while they still can. I love it that Miesque's Approval is coming back for an 8 year old season after winning the BC Mile. You won't see an intact 7 year old win a BC race and comeback the next year very often.

Yeah I think his chances of generating a ton of interest at stud are not that great, but he is still a G2 winner (and a multiple G3 winner) that is by a classic winner and out of a stakes placed mare. I suppose he could surprise.
Couldn't he get some business for a low price at some out of the way place?
Just out of curiosity, if the owners found a breeding farm interested in him, what would a very marignal stud prospect like him sell for?

Well, Don't Get Mad is standing for $3,000. He's also a G2 and G3 winner out of a stakes placed mare and by Stephen Got Even. I'd imagine that Preachinnatthebar would have similar value.
