Seems the Ethiopians have finally pushed the Islamists out and to the Kenyan border. Was just a matter of time really. Elections not taking place until 2009.

Al Qaeda has mentioned Somilia as a place for Jihad...and when the Ethiopians most likely withdraw in a few weeks...all hell may break loose.:(

running al qaeda out is one thing, keeping them out another. seems a promising start that ethiopia was able to run them out, and that the populace is supportive of those efforts.

Deb..Ethiopia had no grand plans of forming any kind of government, their main objective was to just insure the Islamist didnt form a viable government themselves,...but I fear when they leave in a few weeks, the radicals will uprise again and also the presence of Warlords will become very real threat as well. The next two years or so until the elections are tentatively scheduled to take place will be increasingly volitale and I also fear Anarchy will continue to rule....sad state of affairs going on over there...
