The best TV shows ever:

After commenting on the thread about the Honeymooners, I thought I'd post my list of what I feel are the best ever...I limited it to my top 30. I'll preface this list with two disclaimers:
1) I can only list shows that I've seen and seen enough of to fairly judge
2) My main likes are story line, dialog and character development, series consisting entirely of "stand alone" episodes rank lower to me because of an absense of story arcs and character development!
30) The Outer Limits
29) Tru Calling
28) Battlestar Gallactia (current)
27) Have Gun, Will Travel
26) Oz
25) Star Trek
24) The Twilight Zone
23) Dexter
22) Star Trek, The Next Generation
21) The Sopranos
20) Columbo
19) Kojak
18) Bones
17) House
16) The Honeymooners
15) Crime Story
14) Mission Impossible
13) I Love Lucy
12) ER
11) The Prisoner
10) Wonderfalls
09) Chicago Hope
08) Homicide, Life on the Street
07) Veronica Mars
06) The Highlander
05) Firefly
04) Dead Like Me
03) La Femme Nikita
02) Angel
and, of course, no surprise...
01) Buffy the Vampire Slayer

That's hardly news...lol! I'm curious what others think therefore the post. Seinfeld never did it for me, Six Feet Under is said to be very good but I never saw a single episode therefore I can't comment on it, Michael C. Hall is great in Dexter so I suspect he was equally as good on that show! I expect to be made fun of by some but Buffy is by far the greatest show ever in my opinion so I'll continue to take the abuse...it's not like a few million folks don't agree with me though!

One of the most clever TV shows ever...as a kid, I didn't get the "campy" lines

Hogans Heroes made WWII look like fun..." I know nothinnng!"

I liked Rowan & Martin but really didn't consider variety shows....perhaps a separate list for them would be cool, I liked:
Laugh In
In Living Color
SNL (original cast)
Ed Sullivan Show
Dean Martin Show

I understand what you are saying...I guess you have to consider the times though...I mean Gone With The Wind is a classic movie, but also vile and racist if you look at it that way!
