12/31: Santa Anita (Carryover)

Nice swing at the SA card yesterday with a healthy $450+ tri in the 4th and the 6-7-8th P3 ($225) within the P4 play.. But the head/nose loss in the nightcap cost us all $2,300++ for the Quad. Uggh..

Here's the double carryover sextet, but I've only given it a quick and dirty look...

Most importantly, warmest wishes for a 2007 filled with health and happiness for you and the ones you care about.. Stay safe tonight and make it a great start to a New Year!

Best always,
Steve

Kasept 12-31-2006 04:41 PM

Damn..

Just like yesterday.. Tri in the 4th.. wiped out in the 5th.. Hemmed and hawwed over that 5th race winner..

FISHY as can be. Sherman is a magic maker. Gets unloaded on early in the pools and goes gate to wire, when he has been off for 65 days. I guess looking back his numbers are comparable but that four should have cruised RIGHT by him

Severe speed bias.I want the fair track they had on opening day.The majority of these fields has no shot.Didn't take long for them to get their damn freeway.

They make the trainers who are caught with high co2 levels go there 24 hours before they race their horses. They still find ways to get zip in their horses though.

Not one of the 4 horses I have bet to win at SA today have hit the board.

Hope that Hendrix fares better.

I do this all the time. Have a great day at a NY track and proceed to donate a large chunk of it to California. Should have walked away after Aqu.

Dang I love the way that Valbenny runs...
coming back from 9 lengths... this time.. 12 in Hollywood...
Didn't pay as well as I would have liked.. 5.20 but better than a stick in the eye

easy million should have cruised by in the 2nd, jake la gold should have cruised by that 23-1 shot in the 3rd, and the 4 should have gone by the 5 in the fifth. get to the rail, be in front at the 3/16th pole, and they'll never get by you. same old santa anita.

Can't tell ya how many times I have played that lazy Nossa Can Cow.Finally wins one this year.I guess if fillies go 4 across on a 21'1 somebody can come from the back.

PSH 12-31-2006 05:49 PM

Sherman

Intersting about Sherman. He has been around forever up here in No Cal and was always a capable but not spectacular trainer. His win percentage was in the mid teens and all of a sudden pops up to be consistently in the low to mid 20s.... Makes you wonder...

Many other examples of course....

PSH

Oh well.. there goes the pick 3 6/7/8 races....:(
Have to make it up in the next couple races.

Well,it is worth it to them. What do they do to them when they catch them? Not much. You know it is nowhere near normal to have a 37 tco2 in a horse. They give them a lot of room to avoid positives. Most horses are around 30 tco2.

Scuds, I talked about her earlier, you toss that last race and she fits in the exotics, I didn't think she could win but gosh darn it, she goes and does it

I like her,but she runs like a lazy Can Cow when I play her.You have to play this trainer and jock every time to win with them.It is easier to catch fish with your hands than to catch their wins.

SCUDSBROTHER 12-31-2006 06:04 PM

I am going with the bugboy in the last.Horse has cheap speed, and God knows he has brought in worse pigs than this boy.I played him last time, and for about 5 or 10 seconds he looked like he was gunna try to hold.

rock1968 12-31-2006 06:27 PM

Okay.. I don't see anything to explain Big Gulch having a decent shot and the money seems to think twice unbridled.. however I tend to lean towards Golden Royal. Horse seems to have a little bit of come from behind to it
