Should get the past performances(nominated horses) here for the 3 opening day Anita Stakes.If anybody knows who is/isn't running for sure..please post.

I personally think that Brother Derek could be sitting on a big year. He didn't have the best of luck in his triple crown races, but the grit and improvement he showed in the Goodward and BCC looked very good to me.
I think he will have a very nice year and hope he runs in the Malibu, I think he will crush them if he does.

Santa Anita's downhill turf course is easily my favorite race to wager on.
There's always a big field and very rarely does the chalk win. You usually never know who the winner will be until the final 25 yards or so.

I agree Da Hoss. I dont see him passing very many of these and he'll have to as he will be further off the lead than ever before. At around 2/1 type odds, its pass for me.

Anybody know which horse Solis has decided to ride?Wheelchair warrior says he won't give him the ride back on Brother D(IF HE RIDES ARSON SQUAD.) Brother D has run well in a 1 turn race,but it isn't on the form anymore.At 7f,I think Arson Squad takes it,but who knows.

Guys,best I remember,Headley ran zero,none,squat on the cushion.His son ran a couple,but the old man is pretty hardcore.Said it was an experiment,and he wanted no part of it.I doubt he ran even 1 on it.

I totally agree with you on this. Brother Derek was one of my favorite horses over the past year, and I am glad to see him coming back as a 4YO. We need more of this, and hopefully he will have a great year to support the older horses...

Whats the big fuss on Arson Squad? Seems to be everybody's wise guy play in here. I hear so many people pumping up this horse for the Malibu that I cant imagine he will be a decent price. What has he ever done to deserve all the talk?

Well,I don't know why it would be a wise guy horse.Arson Squad,and DA STOOPS have been the dominant 3 year olds going 1 turn at this track.The distance and pace would seem to favor the former.They are known quantities.They both fire fresh.They fire at this race track,and have trainers that want to win stakes at this race track(and are pointing to this meet.)The others have to show they can do what these 2 have already shown they can do.The only thing I like about Brother D is the rider.The only thing I like about L Heat is the trainer.I give M Lute a shot,and some others could surprise.
