Good luck! Run that azz off Jake! Tell him six peppermints for each length he wins by!
|
well i didnt getta chance to give jake peppermints, cuz he surprisingly got claimed! be4 today the guy who owned the horse tim claimed him for 4, we moved him up to 6 first off ran 4th, and today run 4th again for 6. jake basically paid his bills and made the owner 2 grand profit in a little less then a month! not bad coming out ahead like that especially with a bottom claimer. im absolutely shocked he got claimed today cuz where do you go with him here? you cant drop him to 4 again now be4 the end of the meet cuz he was claimed and you gotta rise him up to 8k if youre gonna run him back be4 the end of the meet and he just run two 4ths well beaten for 6. good lookin horse like i said and lofty expectations were put on him in the KEE sale a couple years ago when sold for almost a half mil! id actually like to see this horse cut back to 1 turn and get in a race loaded with speed so he can make his 1 late run!
after the race when he was brought back into the paddock and the new connections took him away i yelled adios jake and the guy walkin him looked at me like i was nuts LOL! hes a crazy horse in the stall and almost impossible to catch in there but ill miss him! |
1 last note the winner of jakes race today was colorful tour. some here should remember him for his tear he went on a few springs ago at oaklawn in stakes there. well he won easily today and was claimed for a 5k tag. sad to see him reduced to this=( im wondering if he was claimed to stand on someones farm being hes still intact

it was great to see him back at arlington on the grass this summer -- though he wasn't winning, he was running well several times at 25-1. he seems like he could have a nice future as an Illinois stallion, wouldn't you say? |
1) You guys are nuts for thinking that horse could be a stallion...come on, I am all about unrealistic stuff, but this is borderline insanity
2) Playa, you have to tell Chiolty to stop riding Laviolette, he would win alot more. He is a good trainer from what I can tell, but his downfall is his love affair with Laviolette |

lol i know ya dont care for shane scav. and while hes had a very down year and doesnt win like he used to he gave a really nice ride on that horse yesterday. on the turn/top of the lane i thought we hada shot but colorful tour although he probaly has a huge hole in him can beat those horses on class alone like he did yesterday. the lady who claimed him is iowa based so who knows what she plans on doing with CT. id like to see him retired |

well a big reason to his decline is the loss of business with tomillo. tommy sends out more horses per year then any1 in chicago! shane used to ride the barn for him. lol ariel smith ill agree with you on i have no idea why calabrese used him some at arlington while he was here this summer. ray ganpath i cant knock, he made me quite a bit of money when jerkins would throw him on one |

Remember when they wheeled LOTG back in that optional claimer turf route. Horse won by a nose, itw as the most worthless race possible, THEN he puts him in a Grade 2 and wins. Tomillo is the luckiest SOB with that horse. You give that horse to Scherer, Van Deren, Springer, Williamson, Yanez and they win the BC Classic with him (two years ago, not this years) |
It's official -- Colorful Tour to stand for $1,500 at Madison County in Iowa.

and all this time I thought Scavs had too much time on his hands. Must be a Chitown thing... |

And on that note, Courthouse is in on Saturday at Hawthorne. Still love that guy too. |
