Indian Vale

Wow, I thought she'd been retired after the Shuvee disaster. Apparently not..........she worked out today in 37 and change at Palm Meadows. I'm really happy about this - it would have been easy for Mr. Melnyk to just retire this well bred fily and send her to a top stud. She has a lot of ability -I hope we'll get to see it again on the track.

Well, it was too late to breed her after the Shuvee and it is still early enough to breed her next year. I will be shocked if she hasn't been sent to the breeding shed in 2007.

She's toast.

I never heard word one about her after the race, so I don't know what kind of injury she had....obviously, though, it was pretty severe. I guess my expectations of her performance leval should be lowered since I know of few horses who have come back to the races after a bad injury at their previous level; nonetheless, I do hope she makes it back.

I don't know whether or not she had an injury, and horses from that barn disappear with alarming frequency, sometimes to show up and run poorly and often never to be heard from again. Then again, they have so many horses that's hardly surprising, I guess.

What happened to Oonagh MacCool? How about Coin Silver...he won the Lexington, flopped badly in the Derby, showed up early the next year at Gulfstream, flopped again, showed up in NY later in the year, flopped...recently retired. Supposedly Flower Alley was fine, no injury delayed him returning to the races until this summer.....then he ran....or he was entered as calling what he did " running " who be abusing the term. What about Keyed Entry? He missed a couple races after the Derby, showed up in the Dwyer, was virtually eased, and has never been heard from again. Half Ours is a favorite of mine. He ran twice as a 2YO, Cordero said he was going to win the Triple Crown, he got injured, was entered at Gulfstream, scratched the day of the race and is apparently in training preparing to make his third career start as a 4YO.

And all that's recently....and off the top of my head.

Forget about Indian Vale.

I really like Indian Vale, but I think she is not the girl I remember from 2005. I would try her in Canada, if I were in charge. It would be going back to family roots, anyway.
