My silly short film

Okay, I give up on waiting for my workplace to get around to posting the short film my husband and I did for them on their own website. Here's the Youtube link for anyone who wants to see it. It's about how WCS saved the bison and it stars sock puppets. Seven minutes long. We're pretty happy with it.

Nicely done. Very enjoyable.

Aw, thanks, DTS. I knew I could count on you to go watch it. :)

Genuine Risk,
I think you and your husband will be going places.
Do you mind if I ask a question?
Well, obviously, I'm not going to wait around until you say ok...so I'll just ask anyway.
Were you inspired by Jim Henson?
That guy was a genius! May he RIP.
I also loved Frank Oz. Those two were so good together.
Here's a link to Kermit...now in the Smithsonian.

My sons and I shared so many laughs together.

I loved "The Muppet Show." And I agree he was a genius. I'm sure he influences my writing for kids. How could he not; I grew up on his stuff! :)

Originally we had planned to use some store-purchased bison puppets, but they don't seem to make any anymore, so I said, "We'll use sock puppets! Sock puppets- always funny." and went from there.

T3B- the Julliard bit was one we came up with while shooting. I'm always amenable to rewriting right up until the end. :) Glad you liked it-- tonight at a party I'm going to see the actor who did that bit and I'll mention to him you quoted his line- he'll be delighted.

Hee hee. He's an actor. Actors are always happy to hear someone loves something they do. Olivier said the three reasons to be an actor are, "Look at me, look at me, look at me" and I think it's the truest thing ever said about actors.

And of course, he was delighted. :)

It was funny.

The bison looked like dark salamanders with Afros. Maybe some puppet artists could help or maybe we wanted them to look like salamanders with Afros. Anyway I liked the voices and story. Much better than I could ever hope to do.

Hey, what do you expect for $10 a puppet? Total budget on the thing was about $200 and that included the green screen and the lights!

Glad you enjoyed the story and voices. :) Thanks for watching!

How much did I love this? How adorable were those puppets! My fave was:

THUNDER; THUNDER; THUNDER...

You guys did a great job genuine. Once we get our home computer up and running again, I will show it to my husband. :)

Very nice!

This group bought an abandoned Bank right up the street from where I live...I walk by there almost everyday, while walking our dogs, it looks like they are having so much fun in there making their puppets and putting together their shows...
