Who will win the 2007 Kentucky Derby?

There is no polling option here so please just respond with the name of the horse or number. You can add a small comment if you like. Please vote only one time. I will be combining this poll with the results from a few other sites where this poll is being postd and will give the public's opinion of who they believe will win in May next weekend. If you post on numerous sites it is ok to vote in each.

Your 11 choices are

# Name

1 Hard Spun
2 Street Sense
3 Tiz Wonderful
4 Nobiz Like Shobz
5 Circular Quay
6 Any Given Saturday
7 Day Pass
8 Minefield
9 Les Grands Trois
10 Pirate's Deputy
11 Other

Our choice of Hard Spun was the result of numerous factors but it was Chuck Zacney of Afleet Alex fame that gave him a slight edge over Street Sense.

"I got your Super Horse - I raced against him," Chuck Zacney, managing partner of the group that owned Afleet Alex, said this week, talking about a 2-year-old named Hard Spun who debuted at Delaware Park on Oct. 22, winning by 8 1/2 lengths. "I saw him in the paddock. He looked like a 3-year-old or a 4-year-old, not a 2-year-old. He was intimidating, and he showed it on the track."

Thank you and may the Force be with you.

Of those listed I like Nobiz Like Showbiz. I think hes still developing mentally and the Remsen was the absolutely perfect prep. He didn't have to run too taxing of an effort to win, yet it layed two turn foundation into him and answered the question about him going a distance. Hes a really nice horse.

Hard Spun is nice, but let's see him step up in competition before giving him a garland of roses.
I agree with O-man and No Biz looks good and has a lot of upside. Tiz Wonderful, Street Sense and CQ still rank right up there too. But if I had to choose right now, it would be No Biz Like Shobiz

Noway does Albert the Great get a Derby winner. Never.

I was assulted in a bar for bad mouthing Albert the Great last winter in Miami

I think Nobiz wins if he stays healthy and no total monsters pop up.

that you would say that Albert The Great can't get a Derby winner because you were assaulted in a bar for bad mouthing Albert The Great.

I think the two thoughts were independent of each other, but neither made much sense.

The Bid 12-02-2006 06:21 PM

I think they both made sense. Albert the Great wont sire a Derby winner, because hes a brutal sire, and I was assulted for saying so

I don't know much about breeding, so I don't know what it means to be a "brutal" sire. But in this case, No Biz runs like he doesn't know who his sire is.

The Bid 12-02-2006 06:28 PM

He better never figure it out

Im rooting for the horse, I just dont think hell win the Derby, thats if he even runs in it
