NJ legislative action is required. As of today residents of New Jersey cannot open a NYRABets account.

I am looking forward to being able to fund my NYRA account with my debit card. Does anyone know if NYRA Bets will permanently close your account for winning too much? I want to manage the harvest and not be too greedy.

Why do you say legislative action is required?

Under N.J.S.A.5:5-141, the Racing Commission is given “full power to prescribe rules, regulations, and conditions under which all account wagering licenses are issued or renewed…”

Some of the other statutory provisions are a little ambiguous on whether there should be more than one licensee…but that provision I cited implies the Racing Commission could possibly do this on its own through the rule making process.
