I like a horse today at Turfway and you like the same horse. It is a first-timer in the 1st race named Altered State. I saw her work at the Fasig Tipton Calder Sale. She actually worked at both previews. She worked an 1/8th in :10 3/5 at the first preview. Then she came back six days later and worked a quarter mile in :21 2/5 at the second preview. She looks like she can run. She sold for $200,000.

I hope she's ready today. She only shows 5 works. I hope she's fit.

They've actually been leaving the track alone at Hollywood. I can't figure out why it's so fast. I wonder if the weather has anything to do with it. It's been really cold at night. It was 43 degrees the last couple of nights. I wonder if that could somehow be making the track harder.

The problem is that it's all trial and error with these synthetic tracks because they haven't really been tested.
