AQU - Pick 4 Payout

I dont understand this payout. $2 Pick 4 - 4-5-ALL-3 (4 correct). What does the ALL in leg 3 mean?

they took the 4th off the turf late, which means in NY now you get an ALL payout instead of turf runners on dirt. It's a rule I've been begging for for a long time after some really disappointing results, especially at Saratoga when the last race is often a turf race AND there's frequently an afternoon shower.

so essentially the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th race pick-3 paid $3,512.

Gotcha. Makes total sense. Also explains the low payout as well. Not sure if I like that rule or not.

trust me, when you have a pick 4 going and you scratch into a sh!t favorite because they move it off the turf, you'll like it.

It has happened to me quite often. I don't like it, but I don't think you should give equal weight to all the tickets.

phil,

I think in this case it means NO ONE picked 4 of 4 correct. The 4th race was off the turf from the get-go, not a late change. With the big prices that came in the 4th and 5th, I think you got a 3 of 4 payout... BTW or Orca can confirm, but it wasn't a scenario where the race came off AFTER the sequence was started.

I will gladly confirm that you're wrong:D

They took the fourth off after the third race ( the second WAS on the turf ).

:(

That's why we pay you the big bucks...

Well, in this rare instance I got paid. How the hell did the winner of the fourth pay 10-1 on the dirt?

I have no idea... I liked the 10 on the turf, and certainly had the best dirt form of the group, but you just CANNOT win from there on the inner track at a mile. I think last year the 8 post on out was something stupid like 4-98 and the 9 & 10 hole was 1-45. Thats just unfair.
