Do we want to have a contest on December 23?
 

I would welcome everyone's thoughts on whether we should have a contest on Saturday, December 23. It's a time when many people are very busy doing other things - last minute shopping, wrapping packages, attending office parties or other holiday gatherings or trying to travel to visit friends and family.

Several tracks will have full cards of racing that day, so the issue is whether we want to have or contest, or whether we want to devote our attention to holiday activities and return to the contest trail on December 30.

Could you please indicate your preference.

I'll start - still have lots of shopping to do, mostly for our grandchildren, and donations to make to a local food bank. I'd prefer not to have the contest that day.

Not a problem for me one way or the other, but guessing no one will want to play. I think that’s the way it went last year and that was ok.

For all good reasons I say play on to our contest on the day 23rd.

JolyB and others I change my mind. It's the only right to do. Bypass day 23rd Contest to keep it level for everyone.

Since our group is limited and things are hectic before Xmas I will say that we skip one week.

And I was going to get the pole out of the crawl space.

I agree to skip it.

All ready for Christmas except for cooking the dinner. Play or not to play??? :zz:
Majority rules so either way is good for me!!!

Not everyone has chimed in with a preference, but from those who did the greater sentiment was to pass on the 23rd and have our next contest on December 30.

Whoever is scored as the winner of last Saturday's points contest will have the privilege of selecting the venue for that day.

In the meantime I hope all of you have an enjoyable Xmas and look forward to seeing you on the 30th.
