Be careful splitting horizontal tickets with strangers

I’m not 100% sure this is true but seems legit. A guy on Twitter had been agreeing to buy parts of pick 5 and pick 6 tickets from another guy on Twitter. It turns out, he was being sold parts of tickets that the other guy didn’t even punch in. He found out when one of the tickets hit for $600K but he never got paid.

Derby Trail was created in part thanks to a money-gathered P6 C/O play which came together over the NYRA winter break between 12/18/05 and 12/28/05. We went 5/6 on the $14k payout and had enough $85 consos (6 maybe) to play the next carryover. In fact I think we kept the ball afloat for 2 carryovers. I remember finding $36 Vasa (Richard Stoklosa), but missing $16 Two Sixty Four (Rodney Jenkins) in the Alex Robb. We needed Naughty New Yorker in the Robb. The other 4 winners were straightforward.

That’s great.

Steve, I’m going to go out on a limb and say you’re a little more trustworthy than some of these horse racing Twitter folks.

Everything involving 'that guy' is a fiasco. Don't interpret my story as any defense of what went on there. That story just made me think of that fun week when we were all still on the ESPN board and handicapped the carryover as a group.

Wow this is awful. Does the guy have a legitimate lawsuit against this guy?

Mr. Hitter not having a great week
