Should be worth getting up early to watch - not just the Dubai World Cup, but a number of races on the undercard as well.

Thanks for the heads up Ruffian. Crown Pride, Japan, just won the UAE Derby impressively and they were talking about him possibly coming to the Kentucky Derby.

I feel he has been treated unfairly with suspensions + public shame :mad:

From what I had read
this so-called drug in question causing the suspension
Was something in the topical application on the Horse’s legs

Regardless if it is performance enhancing or not, he's had horses test over the limit in the Derby and Oaks in consecutive years. As the "face" of the sport, shouldn't he be better than that?

This of course ignores the 7 horses he had drop dead out of nowhere years ago, the countless other overages and everything else.

If anything, he's been treated too well by the media and others for allowing this to go one for so long. He's been able to become rich beyond his wildest dreams because of this sport. Maybe he should treat it with a little more respect than he's shown.

You and I both are in the minority. I honestly don’t care if he cheats a little. What bothers me is that he keeps getting caught. He needs to learn to be as good as the others that cheat, which I believe is a high number of them.

Another horse at the ranch hit his hoof against a rock in the pasture
He couldn’t be saved :(

There may be many reasons why various sources have died
It’s always easier to blame a trainer
But sometimes stuff just happens :(

You’re an example of what I’m talking about. I’m sure you’re a nice person but clearly Baffert can do no wrong in your eyes.

You keep ignoring the FACT he had horses test over the limit in the Oaks and Derby in back to back years.

At best he runs an incredibly sloppy stable, which at his level is embarrassing. At worst he’s been drugging horses for decades.

Neither is a good look.
