Goldie Rose in the 9th @ Churchill

I have never seen a more misplaced horse. What in the name of any kind of intellegence is this horse doing in this race? With a morning line of 99/1, which again I've never seen, this horse has a chance at being the highest odds of any horse ever!

What's up with that?

Yeah, I have no clue what they are thinking. Most misplaced horse I've ever seen.

It's ludicrous and unfortunate.

I haven't looked at the PPs for today at CD, but are we talking more mismatched than Rick's Natural Star in the Woodbine BC? That one was a mess too.

Beyers starting in February:
21
8
30
9
15
10
22
22
19
34
40
27

18 lifetimes starts without ever hitting the board. And she's running in a G2 with several horses running Beyers in the 90s up to 102.

holy crap! her connections were talking in an article about how nobody knows how "well" she's doing. so well that she can't break her maiden. that's sad.

To each their own is what I say. I mean, it is their horse and they can spot her wherever I guess. I had no problem with Ricks Natural Star and I dont have a problem with Goldie in this race.

I'm all for it in a race with 5 horses where you are guaranteed to cash a paycheck. This horse has no chance of cashing a check here. I just don't want to see it gun for the lead early and then cost another horse the race when it tires badly right in front of it.

SniperSB23 11-18-2006 04:05 PM

Went off at 144-1. Finished last by about 30 lengths. The funny thing is it could be a career best Beyer.

brianwspencer 11-18-2006 04:25 PM

Only 144-1. Jeez.

How much dead money does that mean was thrown away on that horse that was positively without even the slightest of shots in this race?

brianwspencer 11-18-2006 04:30 PM

so much sense now!

I just googled Goldie Rose to see if I could find out any more information on this overacheiver -- and it makes SO much sense now, as this was the second result: http://www.thistledownalpacas.com/TDComingSoon.htm

NO WONDER SHE CAN'T WIN!

Ha! The sad thing is she'd probably lose to that Goldie Rose.
