Some comments regarding Sunday's eighth race follow. It is despicable that the turf that turned a 1:20 flat for 7f two races prior saw Megacity "front walk" in 24 second quarters with the 6f time in 1:12:1 ... and still have a 5-to-7 length lead.

How is it possible that Saez, both Ortiz boys, Castellano, and Rosario could all have such a lack of sense of pace on this hardened course? The final 3f went in 34:3 (not surprising considering these AOC100000 near-stakes horses had not run as yet) and you can be pretty darn sure that no one is running 33:2 in order to get in front.
