Coolmore's new site

they've revamped it in the last few weeks and theres now loads of video footage of all your fav stallions.. have a look.. esp Montjeu's King George win and Hawk Wing's Lockinge.. wow

HWing's Lockinge is the most impressive run I have seen from any horse in my lifetime on turf.
I can say that with confidence.
Falbrav's Juddmonte that year was really good also.

I would also suggest that anyone who believes that Rock of Gibraltar was a better miler than Hawk Wing goes and watches the 2002 2,000 Guineas again!

what about it?
its only memorable b/c it was the last time Hawk Wing ran.

Dubai Destination was a good horse when right, but he was no HWing or Falbrav.
come on man, surely you know this.
talking milers, the 2 best 8f runs of the year were HWing's Lockinge and Falbrav's QE2.
its not even close man.

ppl want to take shots at HWing.
but this was a Grade 1 winner at 2,3, and 4.
he was as brilliant as Falbrav was consistently classy.
I dont ppl realize how lucky they were to watch Hawk Wing, Falbrav, Dalakhani, Alamshar, and High Chaparral all run in the same year.

you're right Repent.. it was a great year probably not appreciated at the time... if you want to look at how good Falbrav could have been, check out the shocking ride Holland gave him in the Irish Champion.. was never off the bridle... horrible ride.. in the BC turf, i wouldnt say he had the best ride of his life either...

yeah,
true on both counts.
didnt they have him on the far outside rail in the King George?
looking for better ground, but it totally took him out of the race.
