i think we should put horses on backburner for a second and

take a minute of your day to say a little prayer for a successfull operation that mr byk is having this week,,,,lets face it,, with some ,,he dominates 3 hours of our life every weekday,,,and it couldnt be better,,
bowing head for you steve and wishing all the best

Retinal surgery not something you hear about everyday so I have to imagine that it is a serious thing. Wishing him the best possible outcome and a speedy recovery.

Something tells me the last thing Steve would want is for us to put horses on the back burner...wishing Steve the absolute best and a speedy recovery, I'm hoping to meet up and say hi later in the meet at Saratoga actually.

In the meantime I think the best way to honor him would be to post more analysis in the Selections forum and I intend on trying to pick up some of the slack, even if I could never match the incredible insights he generously offers us all so often.

Best of luck Steve, hope you're recovered by the 17th/18th when I intend to make it back to the Spa.

Hey ontheoutside -- by no means did I mean to disparage your point, I apologize for how that came off, was not my intent. By all means hopefully everyone says a prayer for Steve...good vibes all over!

My Dad has had multiple retinal surgeries. They aren't fun. Follow those doctor's recovery offers, Steve.

Wishing you all the best for a speedy recovery.

had a co-worker who had it done twice within a year, he'll be ok ;) as for the "racing", I bet they will be "off-the-turf" for Wednesday :D quite a major line of t-storms in the Saratoga area this Tuesday evening around supper time.

senator L 07-31-2019 07:41 AM

Good luck, and speedy recovery

Konk 07-31-2019 10:13 AM

Steve

Can't help thinking about Steve. Plus this happened during Saratoga. I think it's awful and wish him the best. I can't imagine laying upside down for 2 weeks.

I was watching the races today and thought Steve is probably laying face-down. Get well soon Steve.

fantini33 08-01-2019 11:24 AM

Jeez boss. Get well soon.

MaTH716 08-01-2019 01:26 PM

Steve, best wishes on a speedy recovery.

Well anytime you have to have something fixed it is serious specially for the AARP members. I know I'm breaking down and just waiting for something bad to happen.

...but GOOD LUCK AND GET WELL SOON STEVE!

richard burch 08-01-2019 08:54 PM

That is the oddest recovery position I ever heard of.
