What? No Rainbow Pick 6? Just kidding,:D but I am tempted to play it just for the fun of it. However, I doubt that I could get more than 4 races right. That's about par for the course for me. Looks like a pretty tough bunch of races. :zz:

Cal, great minds must think alike.:D I was tempted to try a Railbow 6 ticket, but after looking at the sequence of races, realized that the only way I could do so was to either go partners with another couple of players, or ask Real Quiet for an advance on several future ROI bankrolls. I don't think that our rules permit either of those far fetched ideas, appealing though they might be.

Out of curiousity, what sized bankroll would you consider adequate to give you any confidence with a ticket on this sequence? I tried a very rough approach (without breaking my picks into the A's and B's) and came up with a ticket costing about $750. That didn't really cover any of the "what if's", just the "this one has a realistic chance's". Even at $0.20 per pop, adding just one more to a race gets very expensive very quickly.

Looks like a very tough, if not impossible sequence. At least for average players like me. I'm working on Race 9 now so tell you what I think when I finish that one. I saw where someone posting in "The Paddock" said that Hidden Scroll was a lock in the big race. Wish I could be that confident. Looked like a pretty competitive race to me. He is the speed and will likely get the jump on the others, but will he be too speed crazy?

From my perspective, it's impossible to call HS a "lock" or anything close to that. He is one of several strong, legitimate contenders and may even go off as favorite based on his remarkable debut. But, he is going to have to improve off of his FOY performance and both Code of Honor and Bourbon War will need to regress off of theirs. HS seems like a probable "send" from the rail, and he could establish an easy lead and not let the closers get to him. But that's only one of several possible scenarios for this race. In a Rainbow 6 ticket, I'd be very uncomfortable going into this final leg unless I had at least 4 runners covered.

Agree with all that. As for the pick 6, I think I 'd need about $900 to cover it and even then, I'd probably not make it out of the first race.:zz::wf

R 8) $20 win #5

R 12) $20 win #3

R 14) $40 win #10

Don't ask why, it's convoluted.

Thank you Pete.

JolyB 03-30-2019 10:00 AM

I didn't think that RQ would give me an advance on my ROI allowance to play the Rainbow pick 6, so I'll try something different.

Race 4
All of these are Superfecta bets.

$30 Super: 4 / 1 / 3 / 6 ($30)
$20 Super: 4 / 1 / 6 / 3 ($20)
$15 Super: 4 / 3,6 / 1 / 3,6 ($30)
$10 Super: 4 / 3,6 / 3,6 / 1 ($20)

Some would call this a very complicated way to make a win bet on Prince Lucky. Just trying to convert a 1-5 shot into something better than that.
Good luck to all and thank you to Real Quiet for scoring.

I think I'm going to puke!! :zz::wf

Didn't play a Rainbow Pick 6, but made some picks for a $48 ticket

Here they are:

R9 8,9,10
R10 5,9
R11 5,8,9,10
R12 2,11
R13 1
R14 1,3,4,7,9

Probably lose R13 with only the single pick. At least I hope so!!

ElPrado 03-30-2019 04:50 PM
