Today at Churchill

Well sad news and some good news. Sorry for Shug, Phipps and Pine Island. But then again, it was a good day of racing. The horses we were able to see were absolutely stunning. As we thought, Churchill wasnt playing all that fast and the rail bias was there. And as we thought the outside is where you wanted to be on the turf. Makes me wonder how good of a race Film Maker actually ran. Got some decent pics and I will post them soon. But I was happy to see Street Sense win. I loved him at Keeneland and I liked him today but I thought Scat Daddy would get it done. Luckily I had a $20 win wager on SS. However, I still lost $478.00. Bad beat of the day at to be the last pick 3. I was alive to 7 horses in the classic and didnt have Invasor. The most impressive performace to me was Dreaming Of Anna. I know OB and SS were good, but Dreaming Of Anna was ultra impressive. Again, my heart goes out to PI, Shug and Phipps.

7 horses used and no Invasor? Weren't there 2 high figure horses, and then everyone else had to step up to match them?Did you not like the way he looked this week?

Scuds, I have no logical reason for no having Invasor on my ticket. Sad thing is that I went 3x2x7 in the ticket structure. My feeling on Invasor was that it was a long layoff and that his last race wasnt that impressive. No horse closed on the dirt today going wide and I thought that he would be wide the entire trip. I was right, but he was able to close.

Yeah,I can understand the post position part.I think because of their posts on this particular track, that Invasor, and Giacomo had to run huge to get 1st and 4th.

Turns out that both of them ran huge. Kudos to both of them.
