One horse I’ve had a bit of interest in and who has disappointed so far is the #9 Empress Sophia in Race 4. I notice that they’ve switched from Lukas to Pletcher. Pletcher hasn’t wowed with his 2YOs this year but I think this one has some talent. I’d be a lot more interested if this one stayed on the turf, especially with John Velazquez aboard...but this may not be the worst spot for her as she returns to face State-bred fillies.

That said, I really like the #4 Brezza there. I’ll be betting the early Pick 4, first two legs I expect to be a bit chalky but I’m hoping Race 4 provides some value to it.
