Assistant trainers

Is there anywhere that compiles information about assistant trainers? There is a horse running in Saratoga Race 7 tomorrow (#9 Stormy Justin) that had a solid race back in November as a 2YO and he’s running for the first time as a 3YO in an Alw77000N1X.

Seems like a tough spot for him but he’s 30-1 and likely capable to improve. But the trainer is listed as Patricio Correa. There are no available stats on Correa on Equibase and I see he previously registered as an assistant trainer with NYRA. But that’s all I could find. Sometimes we see horses listed under assistant trainers when the normal trainer is suspended in that state. So I’m wondering if that’s the case here or if there is something else going on.

Either way, looking into it and it seems like there isn’t much information out there on assistant trainers. Seems like that could be useful information if there is any way to track it.

The trainer of record for the first three starts is Art Magnuson.

Correa is an exercise rider who took out a trainer license.

Would work that horse for Art and was given him to train by the owner.

Thanks for the info. I did end up seeing that Magnuson was the prior trainer so I assumed there was some connection but couldn’t find anything else. I didn’t have enough information at the time so I didn’t include the horse in my wagers. A good decision since Stormy Justin finished last...but not a horrible effort off the layoff against tougher competition.
