Jose Flores on life support
Jose Luis Flores was first and foremost, on horseback and off, a gentleman. He had the respect and admiration of fellow jocks, horsemen, owners, players and fans, all sharing in the anguish over his death. He rode most of Chuck's winners during the time he spent in Philly, including Redboard King's 2nd tally. Was as nice a jock as anyone will ever meet. Sincerest sympathies to Joanne and his boys Julian, Junior and Juan.

A terrible tragedy. My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.

Just stopped by to check in and saw this. Extremely sad news to read. Prayers for Jose's family and friends.

Condolences to his friends and family.
This is only a game on our side of the rail. |
Very sorry to hear. By all accounts a good guy. I used to wager on him @ Philly.
I am glad Steve kept us informed because there is NO Philadelphia News coverage as of 11am. Not 6 ABC, 10 KYW, or 3 CBS. Nothing. |
Condolences to his family and friends. One of my favorites. Sad news indeed.

Sad.....
So very sad. |
After having to be driven from Florida, Flores' parents got to say goodbye..
Organ transplants underway including one recipient match, amazingly, who is a local owner that has horses with Butch Reid. (Update: With the liver recipient prepped on the operating table at Johns Hopkins, the procedure had to be called off.) |
