hall of famer earlie ok!

thank god! earlies one of the nicest people youll meet on the racetrack or anywhere, ive never ever heard any1 say anything negative about the man! yeah he may almost be 60 but he can still outride most of these jocks here and is still 1 of the best at getting a horse outta the gate and riding on the turf anywhere. obviously earlies most famous for his whip, any1 whos watched him ride knows what i mean

Is/ was Earlie hurt?[/quote]

ESPN has the story from this afternoon. He was knocked out, but regained consciousness, and was transported to a hospital for precautionary measures.

His mount was OK, but the lead horse broke down and went very wide colliding with the Fires mount. Both jocks went airborne, according to the story.

The other jockey, Jesse Campbell, went to the hospital to have his arm examined.

The lead horse, "Icanpersevere," was euthanized.
