Race 8 Saturday@ Gulfstream:
16k Claimer on the Turf.
Burning Wild has been claimed three times in a row from barns with the following win percentages: 2%-6%-6%, for 10k/8k/8k.
Jorge Navarro was the most recent claim(from Juan Arias).
Saturday is BW first race for Navarro,he has Jose Lezcano in the saddle.
Here's the hook.......Burning Wild is 2 for 72 lifetime. :eek:
I'm going three deep in this race in the P-3/P-4/Rainbow 6.
Do I carry the 2 for 72 runner for Jorge ?
I never,ever carry these type of horses(super low win %).
But....

probably the last guy you should listen too but since your asking.

my notes would read something like this,

runs Ok at this level....a few ITM placings....lacks desire to win....could ruin my day but probably won't.

lose him.

I took the cowards way out and added Burning Wild as a 4th horse on the muti's.
I kind of went over the amount I wanted to bet,but Dew mentioned the race did look like a spread affair.
I carried 3-4-10-11.

Only saw this now with 8 MTP. Navarro is only 15% win and 35% ITM this meet, I wonder why that is :rolleyes: I wouldn't use him because of the trainer swap. The only reason I would use him is because there is outside speed, namely the 8, who could fly early and set it up from him. Poor, poor value at 4-1. GL!

Coward?. No just safe and logical, nothing wrong with that, He had a chance to win.
