Forever Unbridled

Pointing to the Pegasus World Cup.
I love it. Obviously on her very best, she can't beat Gun Runners best. But looking forward at who would run she would be a major player for 2nd and that's a big pay day. If the pace heats up 2 much, who knows?

No idea whose running yet but she is not in same area code as Gun Runner and Collected. West Coast is a lot faster too. But still don't know whose committed yet but those three are much faster horses.

All 3 of them are up close horses. 2 are pretty much front runners. It's a great decision IMO. No risk at all. Huge reward.

What do you mean by no risk at all? Based on last year's payouts, she only makes money if she is first or second. She likely won't be close to either of those.

I think the right way to put it would be "no gain at all."

The only thing interesting about this race will be to see how it actually comes to pass, and how much BS people are willing to believe. All "new" ideas aren't correspondingly good ideas. They got lucky last year when perhaps the most popular horse in a decade, California Chrome, made his final start, and they still likely lost about $8 million. Hard to know what you do as an encore for that.

Much as you or I might appreciate Gun Runner, or even Forever Unbridled, they don't sell in any kind of mainstream way. Even Arrogate didn't do that.

If she gets beat by the top horses around who will knock her or hold it against her? If she clunks up for 2nd or 3rd it's a nice payday. I just don't see the negative with pointing her to that race.

Once again, based on last year's purse distribution, third is a break even, and beyond is a money loser. You are acting as though there is no entry fee, and last we knew, there was a pretty substantial one.

For a horse that doesn't crack a triple digit Beyer fig too frequently, if at all, you are quite optimistic about her chances. I know I'm not.

Yeah, I don't think he realizes that Fipke has to pay seven figures for a spot in the gate.

Will be interesting to see how many horses actually go right now it's around 5-6 and that may be it.

Didn't realize 3rd was break even. Thanks

We have been on her for a while.... there is Gun Runner a few Bafferts and not much else. I give her a chance, but honestly didn't realize 3rd was break even.

Plus she can only run 2 more times after this race before the BC. Don't want to waste one. Gotta ration those starts!

Worked great last year. Beat Songbird on the square. Won BC Distaff.
