Saratoga should be embarrassed by this track

Inside all the way...almost every day

Then you have riders who seem clueless to me.

Can anyone tell me why Ricardo Santana took the 1 off the rail for the stretch run in the 7th. when you need to be near the rail?

Hoping sooner or later I can capitalize on this inside biased track if I aint broke.

Also, Coal Truth might be a really nice horse.

I would expect that today's monsoon is going to have the track playing more evenly on Sunday and Monday - typically, the following days have been less speed favoring after this type of rain. I am handicapping expecting the four and five paths to be better - will be watching the card early on Sunday.

Not just in the stretch. He literally tried the entire race to get off the rail.

While I bet the 3 the first at Sar today is the perfect example

the 3 was under fire dueling the whole way on the inside, the chalk who was dropping trying to get a win at saratoga gets a 3w3w stalking trip behind the two speeds, moves up at the QP like a winner and then just cant get by.

Makealittlelove (J. Ortiz) was tight to the rail on the turn and spun into the 3-path in the lane and drifted into the 4- or 5-path down the lane. The rail is likely deeper today explaining this one's position. Friend of Liberty (I. Ortiz) was indeed three deep on the turn, but Irad let his mount tread water from the 5/16ths to the quarter pole. If you are going to go three deep, keep your momentum going forward; otherwise just wheel out at the quarter pole. Based on the head-on, it does look like the 4-path might be sought out today ... but that was only one race.

and Gobi? he was on the rail the whole race

how about the 8 in the 2nd race? you notice all these horses are coming up short?

and while the term rail is used it can be synonymous with being further inside. you can win off the rail, you just have to spend a considerable time of the race on it.

Understand your point completely. What I am noticing is that NO ONE is changing positions from the first two races, aside from the tiring Super Duper Girl (24-1).

yea....

the 4th if the pletcher horse saves some ground at some point he should run by all these, there is pace in this Off turf event but this horse is worlds better than these horses.

LOLZ

two inside horses run 1-3 and I could argue both were badly outclassed by the 2B

The 10 actually ran the best race

It is a day to take notes on horses who are benefitted by the bias and those who are compromised by it as the track is obviously very biased. Considering the bias the effort by the 10 was Herculean there.

11 dead horses so far isn't exactly a ringing endorsement for the track either.

These equine deaths were not from the main track racing exclusively - they occurred on the Oklahoma training track, turf courses, and the main course. Note that they also include both training and racing deaths.

For those counting, six deaths have occurred during or after a race with one of those six coming in the steeplechases.

On Monday, I was shocked to watch Mizz Tutu run down Novique coming from last with a 3/8ths to run ... and she came along the rail inside of Novique with Santana in the three-path.

13 as of a few days ago, but what's the solution?? Is there even one?

It's obviously the worst, most unfortunate part of the game. I just don't see it as something that's able to be 'fixed'.

Absolutely gut-wrenching, to have your horse training/racing at North America's premier meet (in what is supposed to be the high of highs), only to meet their most untimely demise.

You cant handicap that, its just blind luck which has definitely been a hamper on the account, and I will likely pull back on the play until it seems a bit more fair....more energy needed in the note taking.

How does Santana not go to the rail there?

4 dirt race today..3 inside winners.

how does unchained melody lose the alabama, other than maybe distance isssues.

10 pnt move up 08-19-2017 11:08 PM

I thought the track was very fair today. It appears to me the rain tightens the track or maybe evens it out between inside and outside as every time it has rained the track following the rain has been fair.
