How likely are Friday and Saturday turf races likely to stay ....
 

With an inch of rain predicted on Thursday and a quarter inch on Friday, then about another quarter on Saturday do they stay on the turf?
There are four Friday turf races and four on Saturday stay on the turf. Two turf stakes on Thursday and three on Saturday, do they at least keep those on?

Stakes are 99% to stay on unless riders report course is unsafe.

I love betting soft/yielding grass races.
The public often bets s/y grass races like they are firm course races.

It's kind of like handicapping muddy/sloppy races.
Past form and breeding..........and sometimes course tendencies(water drains a certain direction for example).
Some horses just love firm ground,and hate ground with give in it........and vice versa.
Speaking of So Cal,a great play used to be the Danehill line coming over from Europe off of poor heavy/deep form and finding firm/hard turf........they loved the ground tight.
To this day I think that Danehill was the best "hard" turf sire I ever saw.

I went through the card and just assumed the two non-stakes Friday turf races are off. It will have some give if Thursday's forecast holds.

In the 7th @ CD on Saturday Prize Exhibit goes,it doesn't show on her recent PP's but she loves soft/yielding turf.
She's in steep class wise,so that has to be considered..........but if I were to guess,I would think James Cassidy and his main client Dp Racing put her on the plane looking for soft ground.
