OBS Spring Sale - Hip 116

Hip 116 by Morning Line out of Angel Trumpet by Cape Canaveral. His under tack footage goes from 43:59 to 44:19. http://www.obssales.com/2017/04/2017...session-video/

Okay on what planet is that colt black? I actually had to go make sure they had the right horse, I was so thrown. I mean I get there are ways to tell if a horse is really dark bay vs. black, and a horse can look bay and if you get in there they're actually roan, but that's your run of the mill bay if ever there was one. It's not even a question. Pretty, but c'mon. On no planet would someone say 'what color is your horse?' and expect to be told 'black' by anybody. Is there some weird genetic analysis thing going on here or has everybody been day drinking? When does the color visible to the human eye cease to matter? If we're trying to correctly identify horses, surely that needs to matter to some degree because this is just confusing. I felt like Henry Higgins describing Eliza Doolittle's eyes and hair "Brown brown brown!"

The color is questionable. How about the cost of the ticket signed to buy him?

Hip 117 looked black. Hip 116 is a bay.
On looks from what I watched hip 100-112-113 looked pretty good.
My wife made a gravy Sunday that is so good you don't even need linguine. You can just eat it like a soup. Or maybe if you had a couple of piantadosi spuckies you could have a little party dipping that good bread in the gravy.

Hip 117's a gray/roan filly. I'd understand why she'd look black but they full on called Hip 116 black. In the catalog and out loud he's called a black colt. Nobody said anything or said 'hey guys, I need to get my eyes checked, I'm not seeing a black colt'? It's just weird.

Coolmore, $2.4MM for Tiznow colt. Unbelievable.

116 is a bay. You do not need Your eyes checked. Bay, with appropriate color tail and mane. That filly looked black to me, maybe I should get mine checked.

Loved so much about him just sitting here reading his page and watching him but he must've been particularly impressive in person for 300+ take outs when people were looking at him. You gotta be into a Tiznow over Storm Cat, looking that good with that speed. I'm a sucker for the female family too. The time was a jaw dropper. I don't normally love pushing the youngsters to do what they do at these 2yo in training sales, but you gotta be impressed with a 2yo Tiznow colt doing what he did in April.

Well someone at OBS does on 116. I see them making corrections sometimes and nobody thought to make one there so it's weird but whatever. I'm just assuming at this point that when they go to name him, he'll be in the JC as a bay as he should be. If he ends up getting registered as black like his catalog page, I give up.
