Arrogate's Last Challenge

I'm a bit bias living 10 mins from Saratoga Race Course, but hear me out.

We know there aren't any horses in training that compare to Arrogate. No more huge $10+ million purses until next year. Although purse $ is important I think the connections are pretty well off. So what is left??

SARATOGA.......as the FAVORITE! I want to see him break the curse, like the Red Sox in 2004 and the Cubs last year!! Of course favorites win at Saratoga but this would be an amazing Whitney on August 5th.

Think of this....At the graveyard of favorites.....a Ghost.....named Shaman.....by Ghostzapper......keeps the curse alive.

Uh, you do remember that he ran there last year right?

Yeah, as the 11-1 favorite.

True, but so what?

There is only one reason to run there, and that's that he showed an aptitude for that track.

Nice try, but I'm not helping you back-pedal your way out of your clear misreading of the Gentoo's post.

This would be a better response if it was directed at Gentoo.

Personally, I think Arrogate should attempt to do what Frankel never did:

Run 12 furlongs on the grass.

I could watch the replay of Secretariat winning that turf race in Canada everyday and not get bored.

I didn't misread it. I dismissed it. Like him being the favorite imparts some magical curse.
