Went on sale today... Presale code is bc17 if anyone is interested. Lots of stuff was sold out even before the presale

Some sections were sold out before the pre-sale. Guess the pre-pre-sale was for repeat offenders.

Very limited reserved left for Saturday ahead of the presale..kinda funny how that works. I hope they handle it as well as keeneland...bc 2015 was like the highlight of my year...simply awesome

Are they going to cap general admission sales? I don't know how much room del mar has compared to Santa Anita, even with 71k on Saturday it seemed like there was plenty of room, especially in the infield. The prices are significantly higher than last year (GA $50 Friday and $75 Saturday vs 15 and 25 pre-sale last year.)

They are capping at 37k which would include ga I would think

Twinspires sent out a pre-sale code for 2/28...the seats when very quickly.

Keeneland got capped at 28k..how much bigger is Delmar vs keeneland?

I never been the Keeneland, but Del Mar opening with 45 plus is full.
Del Mar will use the infield with a beach setting and other pavilions, not sure how many of the 37,500 that will be. Also in the concert area I'm pretty sure chalets are going to be set up. I do not know the actual seating capacity of Del Mar.

Be warned: several parts of the grandstand and clubhouse seating can be 100% in the shade in November and, yes, COLD. This includes boxes and table dining.

The infield might be a sunnier, warmer choice.

Keeneland was great - that experience was my first time there, and I would recommend visiting in the fall - gorgeous color - great racing - as far as visiting farms, some of the best stallions are shuttling.

Keeneland is out if this world..i go every spring and fall..place is spot on
